Interview – Robert Rabbin on Authenticity

I first met Robert Rabbin in Melbourne several years ago at a Dumbo Feather event. At the time, Robert was coaching the founder of Dumbo Feather, Kate Bezar.

As it happened, this was exactly the type of coaching I needed too so not long after, I joined Robert’s Realtime Speaking workshop. It was a course that completely changed the way I felt about public speaking. I went from someone who pretty much loathed the idea of standing up in front of a group, to loving it.

Robert hadn’t yet written his book The 5 Principles of Authentic Living but the way he taught me to speak used these principles. It was a course that changed my whole approach to speaking and ultimately, Robert’s principles have changed my approach to life.

Robert now lives in LA and he is, without question, the most authentic person I know. In January this year he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer which has already spread to his bones. In his usual way, Robert has been completely open and thoughtful in sharing his story.

Unfortunately, Robert doesn’t have medical insurance so he recently made the decision to share his life’s work (his books are available to download for free here) and has invited readers and listeners to, in turn, share what they can by donating to his treatment costs.

I have no doubt you will enjoy this interview which is the first in a new series I'm calling The 10 Principles of a Meaningful Life. I feel honoured to have been given Robert’s time and delighted to be able to share his message with you.

If you'd like to spend more time with Robert, please register for a 6-part teleseminar, broadcast live from his Open House in Los Angeles, with all proceeds going towards his medical treatment expenses.
